| The Pamphlet |
[Jan. 2nd, 2012|07:33 pm] |
Title: The Pamphlet Author:Stoicstella Rating: G Pairing: Hints of Severus/Remus, but just in the intro. Challenge: Written for a Meme I posted in April of 2007. summerborn requested “Five ways to break up with a Slytherin” Summary: A helpful pamphlet falls out of Remus’ school-bag. Humor with just a tiny kick, when cannon is considered. Warnings: None Disclaimer: This is a work of fanfiction, with a borrowed world and characters. Nobody is profiting from it. Wordcount: 544
It fell out onto his mattress alongside his books and quills, catching Remus’ eye immediately. Remus lifted up the little glossy pamphlet and studied it, face burning. He had no way of knowing who had snuck it into his bag; all the marauders were equally good suspects. Skimming through the words, illustrations, and graphs, Remus tried to decide whether he was amused, horrified or some combination of the two. His gut was twisted. While the pamphlet itself was slightly sickening, what really upset him was that he had honestly believed Severus and he were being subtle.

| Five times Remus Let Severus Spend the Night |
[Jan. 2nd, 2012|07:29 pm] |
This story belongs to karasu_hime who requested it in a Meme I posted in April of 2007. It became fairly larger than the drabble lists everyone else received, and sort of took on a life of its own, but I do hope you enjoy it.
Title: Five Times Remus Let Severus Spend the Night... and the One time He Didn't Pairing: Severus/Remus Warnings: implied violence, implied sexual situations, a bit dark Wordcount: 2,767
The night Dumbledore fell from the astronomy tower and Severus fled the castle, Remus felt like he was waking from a dream. Events started to align themselves into a sharp focus: The last night he’d spent with Severus and the sixteen years leading up to it. All the times he’d exchanged heavy handed comfort, all the betrayals, the self-sacrifice, seemed to add up to one all-consuming act. It had simultaneously strengthened his resolve and filled him with despair, and the incongruity of it wanted to tear him apart. Severus had a gift for making Remus feel that way. Remus had a weakness of allowing it.

| Five People Tonks Would Like to be Like |
[Jan. 2nd, 2012|07:27 pm] |
On the 18th of April 2007 I posted a Meme called the 5 fandom things meme. The premise was, you guys prompted me and I wrote the list. I wrote about half of these lists before real life intervened and I left fandom and writing altogether for quite some time. I am tentatively putting my toes back into writing. I know most of you probably aren't even watching my journal any longer, but I do hope to finish writing your prompts.
This is one is for i_llbedammned. She requested: Five People Tonks Would Like to be Like. Mishiki, after over four years of waiting, I really do hope you like it.
Nymphadora Tonks had been a metamorphmagus from birth; it is this wholly extraordinary thing about her that at the same time has become common place. Most of the people in her life know that she can shift her outward appearance to mirror just about anything transfigurable from her frame. She can be taller, shorter, thinner... the possibilities are cosmetically endless. What most people don’t know, however, is there are a few, deeper than the surface, things that Tonks can’t copy and that it makes her burn with jealousy.

This is quick and dirty, but my sincere apologies for any misspellings or grammar oddities.

| First Line Meme |
[Dec. 12th, 2007|12:43 am] |
I have written two stories this year, not counting Snupin Santa… I am a little disappointed with myself at letting the year slip away from me like this, but it has been a trying and emotionally weird 12 months, so I will forgive myself, I suppose.
In the spirit of the First line meme… and my own silliness.
I give you a sad year for Stella’s fiction:
January: height of fear (G) (Written for Severus’ birthday wherein he mostly sits upon a roof. ) Severus is afraid of heights. He hated flying on a broomstick, never took to rendezvousing on the astronomy tower, refused to keep ingredients on shelves that he’d have to climb a ladder to reach and had a habit of staring straight ahead when he passed windows.
April: Initium (G) (Written for the Pure-blood Prince Fest and almost entirely about Eileen)
In the beginning there was no magic and everything was dark and difficult. The darkness was so perfect, so absolute that no one feared it or questioned it. The darkness just was and all who lived in those times knew nothing of the light. |

[Dec. 11th, 2007|12:21 am] |
I return from oblivion and come bearing art of a very G-like nature. It's three adult HP Characters in mini-form. I used a sharpie, oil based crayons, and water colors... ohh and ahh at their magnifecince.
( Tonks, Remus, and Severus... prior to any triangle you might imagine exists. )
I know... it takes very little to entertain me... ♥ to you all ~Stella |

How are you newly migrated F-list? I've been playing with Photoshop, since I am at my mother's house and my little sister has nicer things than me (*G*) and I've made a little artwork I thought I'd share.

Title: Initium WordCount: roughly 1,700 Rating: Safe for general audiences Character(s): Eileen, her mother, her grandmother Challenge: The Pure-blood Prince Fest Summary: In the beginning there was no magic, but Eileen learns from her grandmother it’s history and with it her own. Notes: Wrestling with some personal stuff these past couple months meant I had to really push to get the deadline on this, so I am going to post it without Beta with my apologies. Unsolicited betaing is welcome.
Also, I am not Greek, but I did try, to the best of my knowledge, to be accurate in any Greek based details I added. If I failed let me know. It was not my intention. Enjoy.

| Five Memories that Make Severus Smile |
[Apr. 23rd, 2007|04:57 am] |
This is for drusillas_rain
Severus’ mind opens up in layers. In the outermost layer are the things that he wants to be seen; the ways he has been wronged, his anger, his prejudices. These things pollute the surface for anyone who might dip into his mind to see. The second layer, if one digs, contains his pride, his desire for recognition and power, and any grudge he has ever had. These things are only somewhat hidden, not enough that someone would have to work very hard to find them. If you peal that away there are his secret humiliations; school day antics, his father, being dressed down by the Dark Lord; all the things that wound his pride.
There is no wall between the truth and the lies and the poisonous thoughts seep into one another so that sometimes he can’t even remember that hidden in places only he would think to look are memories that make him smile.

| Five Lies Remus Told |
[Apr. 20th, 2007|01:57 am] |
This one is for etrangere
Remus was secretive. He collected secrets the way some people collected Wizard Cards, and as long as he didn’t pull them out to inspect them himself no one ever guessed they were there. Remus kept secrets as a matter of course, as a matter of conditioning, as a matter of survival, but he only told a few lies. One of the most important things about keeping a secret is to be almost completely truthful. Lying outright is an amateur mistake that will more often then not come back to bite you. Lies put your secrets at jeopardy.

| Five Regrets Severus has about Remus Lupin |
[Apr. 18th, 2007|02:13 am] |
This one is for innerslytherin
No one had to teach Severus to regret. It seemed as though he had an overactive sense of it, actually. It never really made him think before he spoke, but after he spoke… well he couldn’t stop thinking, could he? Funny how so many of the regrets that really stuck with him involved Remus Lupin.

| Fic: height of fear |
[Jan. 10th, 2007|04:26 am] |
Title: Height of Fear Word-count: 650 Summary: Quite possibly a lot of crack! Written in honour of Snape's birthday and due to circumstances beyond my control about 4 hours late at that. Don't take this too seriously, but do enjoy it.

| Fic: Severus In Wonderland |
[Jan. 7th, 2007|07:21 am] |
Title: Severus In Wonderland To: parseltonguepen From: stoicstella Summary: Set between book five and six, Dumbledore has a plan he wants Snape and Lupin to work on together, but unsure they will be able to he decides to throw the two into a dreamscape to prove their trust in one another. Rated: PG13 Word count: 14,308 Author notes: The amazingly patient sscrewdriver beta read this for me, and if no one guessed the story was mine on the grounds of the obscene abuse of commas usually demonstrated by my work that was because of her patience with my incompetence. I also felt so encouraged by the comments etrangere gave me on my plot I may not have been able to finish editing this to hand it in on time.

| Fic: Kindling |
[Dec. 22nd, 2006|03:21 am] |
Title: Kindling Rating: NWS, (for sexual content) Pairing: Tonks/herself, Tonks/Charlie Word Count: 1033 prompt: Tonks wanks thinking about her first crush and how he smelt. Vegetables are somehow involved. Notes: I have to apologize. I wrote this for sscrewdriver as a thank-you for beta reading my snupin santa story, but she requested a drabble and I wrote her 1,033 words and she requested porn and I don’t know how near to the mark this actually comes to that. sscrewdriver was wonderfully patient with me despite my being hopeless at punctuation. Thank-you so much for all your help. I hope this pleases… even a little.

[Dec. 7th, 2006|05:42 am] |
I saw this meme around, schemingreader did it as did etrangere. The idea is to take the first line from the first fic you wrote in each month. This only strengthens my earlier realisation that I rarely write anything longer 3,000 words long.

| Drabble: Luna Doesn't Mind |
[Oct. 27th, 2006|12:02 pm] |
Title: Luna Doesn't Mind Rating: G Warnings: none Word Count: 299
Luna doesn't mind being left to talk to Trelawney. The poor woman, for all her talk of the inner eye, has obviously been painfully under informed when it comes to the goings on of the outside world. Luna knows, as future editor-in-chief of the The Quibbler, it is her responsibility to inform the public of things like the Rotfang Conspiracy, and is more then happy to divest any time she has to that end.
She is pleased to see that Professor Trelawney is properly outraged by the cleverly orchestrated use of gum disease as a means of debilitation, and mind control. One can hardly think when one's mouth is rotting. It is a painful and scary thing, but one must be brave, because it is the periodontal-Wizards whom are the real threat. Once phase one-- distract and annoy-- is finished, the weakened wizards are further violated when dark periodontists perform the Imperius curse on them. Half of the ministry is involved one way or another, whether willingly or under control of the those pulling the strings.
"but," Trelawney hiccups, "how do they cause the gum disease in the first place?" Her eyes are glassy and her cheeks are flushed. Luna almost feels bad for causing her so much worry, but it is something she should know.
"It's in potion's they require aurors to take," Luna informs, "they say they are to keep them fit for duty. Fit for whose duty, I'd very much like to know."
Luna has to catch Professor Trewlawny, who swoons at the news. It is a wonder the woman did not faint dead away. It is a tough burden to bare, bringing knowledge to the masses, but Luna doesn't mind. She is glad for the opportunity. |

| Drabble: Curiosity |
[Oct. 16th, 2006|04:53 am] |
Title: Curiosity Character: Severus Snape Word Count: 110 Note: I feel lucky to be in the next round of ldws, as this isn't my best work.
Remus Lupin was a werewolf. There could be no doubt about it. Madam Pomfrey had walked him to the whomping willow and pressed the knot in the trunk, just as Sirius said she would. Remus Lupin was truly a werewolf.
Unless-- and Severus couldn't believe he hadn't thought of this sooner-- it was all an elaborate prank. Lupin would pretend to be a werewolf to hide whatever they really were up to. They chose full moon nights to get out of bounds so that they could keep up the charade. Lupin couldn't be a werewolf? Could he?
Severus Snape picked up the abandoned stick, determined to find out. |
